Pollen

Ethiopia: important for the production of honey beer (to enhance the right yeasts) (Fichtl & Adi 1990).

Indonesia: There is no data on pollen business in Indonesia, but according to a local scientist (Universitas Padjadjaran), there is a market for pollen. Beekeepers collect the product with a pollen trap. Harvested pollen is divided into two categories: pure pollen, and mixed pollen (mixed with honey, and/or royal jelly). The products are found at online marketplaces as well as in herbal stores.
